MYDA FOOTBALL CLUB was started in 2007 as a community youth team pioneered by well wishers MYDA FOOTBALL CLUB registered with the Federation of Uganda Football Association competitions in 2023. In the year 2023 the club competed in 3rd Division before qualifying for the 2nd Division (BETPAWA Uganda Big League) for the season 2024-2025.

In 2020, MYDA FOOTBALL CLUB qualified for the 1st Division (UGANDA Premier League) Competitions season 2024-2025. MYDA FC has since evolved from being entirely supported by the COMMUNITY based club with its base at Kacumbala, Bukedea, Uganda. Uniquely basing the boarder geographical factor, MYDA FAN BASE is intermingled between Uganda and Kenya population and so is its social influence, fundraising and support ground.

Our Club comprises of senior, junior and academy players and many loyal past and retired members who continue to support our community club throughout the seasons.

The football club and its members invest both money and time in introducing and teaching juniors (Academy) the skills to play football and have the teams competing in every competitive football outings, both Our teams continue to compete at the highest levels and we are arguably the most successful football club in the Eastern part of Uganda today.

Our membership numbers currently sit at above10,000. In 2024/2025 second division competition we aim to increase that number to cater for the eastern football supporters ‘thirst. We believe this is a realistic goal especially with the way the north eastern and its surrounding areas are developing and quickly growing into a vibrant and busy eastern suburbs and towns. With our ongoing successes and new stadium facelift, by Amus and Bukedea comprehensive school we believe the club is on a projection for large future growth.

The club continues to be community based and welcomes members both playing and non-playing from all walks of life, catering to the academy and senior team.

We have over 70 players at MYDA Football Club and we have a projection of growing at about 20% in the next 5 years annually with a quest and a bias to start up a female team too. Our players range in age from 12 to 32 with both the academy and senior team.

Over the last two seasons we have seen our biggest growth and we are predicting our biggest increase in players ever with our promotion to first division.

MYDA Football Club has wide-reaching audience which includes the surrounding Eastern based districts of Busoga, Bukedi, Bugisu to as far as suburbs of Teso and Sebei and karamoja

We have been in the same location of Tororo district since our formation. The redevelopment of the municipal stadium is in its final stage, with future development plans to construct our own stadium which will include a new club house (administrations and hostels) with a befitting sports facility& canteen.
